Declined: Insufficient Balance

Did your card get declined due to insufficient balance?

Our cards will decline if you try to purchase something that costs more than your available balance.

In this case, you have 2 options: 

  1. Pay for the full amount with your personal card and submit an expense for reimbursement
  2. Ask the merchant if they allow split transactions - paying a part with Benepass and the remainder with your personal card. 

In short, if you have $50 for a wellness benefit, and your purchase is $51, the card will decline due to insufficient balance. Please note at this time we're not able to split purchases between benefits or combine benefit balances to make a single purchase. If you wish to purchase something that is for the amount of more than one of your benefits (and the item/service is eligible under more than one) then, you can try one of the above options!
