Common questions
Does my virtual card have a PIN?
Your virtual card will not come configured with a PIN, and in most cases, you will not be prompted to enter a PIN at checkout.
If you hold a Flex card or HSA card, you may occasionally be prompted to enter a PIN at checkout. In these cases, you can skip the PIN entry by hitting "enter" or asking the cashier for assistance.
Why does my virtual card have a different number than my physical card?
Each card issued to you by Benepass is unique and will have different card numbers and details. If one card is lost or stolen, you'll be able to continue to use your other card uninterrupted until the compromised card can be replaced.
What happens when my virtual card expires?
Your virtual card will be automatically reissued ahead of an upcoming expiration. You'll be notified and will be able to view and access your new card details right away.
What happens if my virtual card details are stolen?
First, report your card stolen by navigating to Cards > your virtual card > Report card lost or stolen. This will cancel your card immediately. You are then able to reissue yourself a new virtual card directly from the Benepass app.
If fraudulent purchases were made using your card details, please contact Benepass Support.
Can I use my virtual card when traveling internationally?
Typically, yes, you should be able to use your Benepass cards to make eligible purchases all over the world.
Please note that certain countries and merchants may have per-transaction limits on tap-to-pay purchases. Benepass recommends splitting large transactions when possible, or using an alternate payment method and submitting for reimbursement if available within your program.
