Understanding How Exchange Rates Affect Your Available Benefit Balance

When Benepass makes contributions to your benefits, these values are registered and stored in $USD in our system, which means that your available balance may fluctuate in accordance with the current local exchange rate.

Foreign Exchange rates are calculated and displayed in real time on your account, which may lead to variations in your available balance. For example, if the exchange rate between GBP and USD was 1:1.26 on the day you received your contribution, you would have received £396.82 GBP (or $500 USD). Later that same month, if the exchange rate fluctuated to 1:1.24, your available balance would update to £403.23 GBP (still $500 USD).

As such, we always recommend checking your balance shortly before making any purchases to ensure your transaction will process as expected.
