Benefit expiration dates are part of your employer's custom benefits program design. Benepass maintains these dates to ensure the program runs according to your employer's goals.

To avoid losing funds unexpectedly:

Confirm expiration dates

Check your contribution and expiration dates directly in the Benepass app by navigating to Accounts and viewing the specific Benefit details. All benefits will show details on the next upcoming contribution or expiration, if applicable.

Plan ahead for online purchases

Some merchants, such as Amazon, will not charge your card until items ship. Placing an order on the last day your funds are available does not guarantee that the merchant will charge your card before funds expire. Purchase well before expiration to ensure processing completes in time.

I forgot to use my funds on time, is there anything I can do?

If you forgot to use your funds before expiration, Benepass is unable to return funds.

If you choose to not use or forget to use your funds by their scheduled expiration, any remaining balances will expire. However, you will have a full contribution showing in your account on the next scheduled contribution date!

I'm having trouble spending before my next expiration date, what should I do?
