If your benefits plan includes a carryover of unused funds into the next year, you can expect Benepass to transfer those funds from employees’ current benefit enrollments account to their new enrollments following the end of your chosen runout period (usually 60-90 days).
Please note that employees who have not elected into the same benefit in the next year will still receive the carryover funds to a new enrollment.

How can I check my benefit configuration rules?
If you would like to see how your benefits were set up and access not only carryover rules, but also enrollment, spending, taxability and receipt rules, simply follow these steps:
- Go to the admin dashboard.
- Click Benefits in the left menu and choose the specific benefit you want to see:
- Click on the Rules tab to view configurations such as runout, grace periods, and more!
