Report Guide: Deductions Guide

Purpose

This report displays deductions that Benepass has recorded for relevant pre-tax benefits. It can be used in tandem with the Contributions & Expirations report to confirm that deduction and contribution totals match.

Accessing the report

To view the report, click on “Reports” from the menu bar on admin.getbenepass.com and select the “Deductions” tab.

Using the report

Deduction source

This report specifies the source of each deduction under the “Contributed by” field. Funds from the employee are labeled as “employee” and funds from the employer are labeled as “employer.” 
The report can also be filtered based on this value.

Comparing with Payroll data

The data on this report will match the data from your Payroll/HRIS system in most cases. If a mistake was made and corrected in your Payroll/HRIS system, however, this report will display the correct end-state amount.
