Integrations Page: Overview

Purpose of the Integrations Page

If Benepass is integrated with your company’s payroll or HRIS system, the Admin Dashboard displays the data received from that system.

This data helps to verify correct account setup during onboarding and monitor the health of the payroll connection over time.

Accessing the data

To view the data, click on “Integrations” from the menu bar on admin.getbenepass.com and select the relevant tab.

Page organization

The integrations page is organized into 5 tabs:

  • Source data records

  • Data import configuration

  • Data import activity

  • Provisioning configuration

  • Provisioning activity

Source data records

This tab displays a list of employees reported by your HRIS system. Clicking on a row in the table opens a detailed overview of the information Benepass has received about that employee.

Depending on how you specify who is eligible for Benepass, not all employees reported by your payroll or HRIS system may have access to Benepass. The Employee table displays whether each specific employee has been added to your Benepass Roster and has access within the “BP account?” column.

  • Employees who are in your Roster have a Benepass account.

  • Employees who are not in your Roster do not have a Benepass account.

Why it's useful: Helpful for auditing source data and identifying discrepancies before they affect employee benefits or eligibility.

See more for details on an employee’s Payroll/HRIS record here.

Data import configuration

This tab shows how your HRIS integration is configured for importing employee data into Benepass. Normally, our systems will sync 2-3 times a day. It includes mapping rules, field configurations, and other settings that control how data is interpreted.

Why it's useful: Reference this tab when troubleshooting import issues or when changes are made to your HRIS data structure.

Data import activity

This tab provides a log of all data import runs — including when they occurred, how many records were processed, and whether the import completed successfully or encountered errors.

Why it's useful: Use this to monitor the health of your integration over time and quickly identify when an import may have failed or produced unexpected results.

Provisioning configuration

This tab shows the settings that govern how imported employee data translates into benefit provisioning actions within Benepass — such as enrolling employees, updating eligibility, or making plan changes.

Why it's useful: Useful for understanding how your integration is set up to handle new hires, terminations, and benefit changes.

Provisioning activity

This tab provides a log of all provisioning actions taken as a result of data imports. Each entry reflects a change made to an employee's benefits based on the imported data.

Why it's useful: Use this to audit benefit changes, verify that provisioning occurred as expected, and investigate any discrepancies between your HRIS and Benepass records.

Downloading Integration Files

You can now download integration files directly from the Integrations page. These downloads are available within the Data import activity tab and give you direct visibility into how your data was processed. To access the files, click on a row in the table to open the Pipeline details for that date and view the files for download.

Available for All Integrations

Extracted Files/Data — The raw files and data received directly from your HRIS provider. Use this to validate what Benepass received from the source system and investigate any discrepancies at the input level.

Transformed Files/Data — The extracted data after it has been converted into the Benepass format using your configured field mappings. Use this to verify that your transformation logic is working correctly and to understand how source data is processed before it's imported.

Compare Files — A side-by-side comparison between the previous import run and the current one. Use this to quickly identify what changed between runs — including employee additions, removals, updates, and data modifications.

Additional Downloads When Error Reporting Is Enabled

If error reporting is enabled, the following additional files may also be available:

Change Summary — A high-level summary of all changes detected during processing. Useful for a quick overview of what the import affected.

Error Summary — A consolidated view of any validation or processing errors encountered during the import run. Use this as a starting point when troubleshooting failed or partial imports.

Transformation Error Files — Detailed records of individual rows that failed transformation or validation, along with specific error descriptions. Use this to pinpoint and resolve data issues at the record level.
